Back Up Part 2

Summary

Part 1, Seattle to western Idaho.

Left Seattle early this morning to get a good start on the trip. However, I didn't leave early enough, so I got stuck in traffic on I-405 heading south to I-90. (I left from Julie's place.)

Went east on I-90, over Snoqualmie Pass. A little ways after the pass, I stopped at a fruit stand to get some fresh cherries. Stopped in Moses Lake, Washington for lunch, at a family Mexican restaurant. Then, continued on I-90, past Spokane, Washington and Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.

Just leaving. I forgot to take a picture right as I was pulling out, so this is actually from a bit down the street.

Reset the trip odometer to 0.

On the road at 7:32 am Pacific time.

Stuck in traffic on southbound 405.

Glorious sunshine heading up Snoqualmie Pass.

Further up the pass.

Mountains peeking through, looking south, near Hyak, at the summit of Snoqualmie Pass.

I always see these big mountains when I look northwest coming back home on I-90, but I never could figure out which mountains they were. But, today, I figured it out -> the Stuart Range, also known as the Enchantments, near Icicle Canyon, next to Leavenworth. I confirmed that with the guy working at the fruit stand that I stopped at.

The fruit stand along I-90 that I stopped at.

The cherries that I bought. Also, the bag of messed up fortune cookies that I brought with me.

The Mexican restaurant I stopped at in Moses Lake, WA. I had to drive about 5 miles down the road in Moses Lake to find any food, and I wasn't sure I wanted Mexican, but I couldn't find anything else. It ended up being really, really good.

My chicken chimichunga. I'm fairly sure I spelled that wrong.

Flatness that is eastern Washington on the I-90 corridor.

Passed this truck with this dog leashed to this open-bed trailer.

Starting to see some trees, approaching Spokane.

Just over the Idaho border, coming down into Coeur d'Alene.

I had several attempts at getting a picture of Lake Coeur d'Alene out of my sunroof as I was on the bridge going past it.

Another attempted picture of Lake Coeur d'Alene.

Going up the hill, just past Lake Cd'A.

Speed limit 70.

Random point along I-90 in the western part of the Idaho panhandle.
