Back Up Part 2

Summary

Part 1, Skiing

When we woke up this morning, it looked like the skies might clear a bit, but it never happened. We spent the day on Blackcomb, and good times were had by all. Or, at least, by everyone who matters.

The sky almost looked blue.

Pretty sure that's the Crystal Chair on Blackcomb.

Dave ready to go. We took the shuttle to the upper village, and rode up from there.

Looking toward Whistler. Low clouds. Ugh. Fortunately, up top you could get above them.

Neil and some other folks.

Eric, Dave, and some girl whose name I think I sort of remember, but have no clue how to spell. Piadad?

Colleen.

Me.

Shannon.

Lunchtime.

A couple girls that were up there with us.

Getting on the 7th Heaven chair.

You could see bits and pieces of Whistler mountain.

At the top of the 7th Heaven chair, you're right on top of a ridge, the other side of which drops down over the Horstman Glacier, which is what they have open for summer skiing. (And where the Glacier Chair goes. In fact, that's the top of the Glacier Chair you can see down there.)

Kinda cool how you could get above the low clouds. But sad that there was another nice and thick layer up above.

I like this view.

Folks milling around at the top of 7th Heaven.

Views near the top of the chair.

Looking down toward treeline. The light was pretty flat, so you couldn't see the bumps very well.

A little snow family that the lifties had built.

Dave and Neil skiing down to the Rendezvous, at the top of the Solar Coaster.
