Summary

Ski Day Number: 25

Headed up to Mt. Baker for closing day. Drove up there with Maggie, Eric, Dave and Neil, and we met up with Mark and some other guys he knew from a Whistler trip he went on. This happened to be my first day actually skiing at Mt. Baker, although I've of course hiked up there a bunch, and once Julie and I went up there to go snowshoeing.

It was pretty warm up there, but it never got sunny. Also, I took a pretty nasty spill fairly early in the day (when I was trying to avoid running over Maggie, who had also taken a spill, as it turns out), and tweaked my ankle a bit. It was fine, but it was pretty tender for a couple days, so I spent the second half of the day hanging out on the patio with a beer.

The snow wasn't bad for the end of April.

Later, the rain moved in. And, while I was hanging out inside the lodge waiting for everyone else to ski, I spent a fair amount of time staring at that glacier wondering when a big chunk would crack off and fall. Sadly, it didn't happen today.

It was full-on raining when we were getting all changed up in the parking lot.

Obviously, it wasn't me taking pictures at the time.

There's the first (and only) picture Mark made it in from today.
