Yes, this picture is an anomaly. I was walking down the trail in the shadow of the mountain, when right in front of me I saw a peculiar little spot of sunshine, about 3 feet across. I stood in it, and looked up, and sure enough, there was a little hole in the rock above me. I went ahead and tried to get a shot of the sun through it, hoping I would do it right, and not overexpose the shot.. apparently it worked.. : )
