This is near the beginning of a famous three mile hike that leads to Stanley Reservoir.. The trailhead is located on the U.S. Air Force Academy grounds... which are just north of the Colorado Springs city limits... (if you're driving north on I-25 (the one and only interstate in the Springs) the exit going to the Air Force Academy is the next one after the exit that you'd get off at if you were coming to my house.. yeah.
